Furry nanny ally

I’m down with a terrible migraine and I’ve been throwing up since the past two days. Finally went to the dr this afternoon because I could take no more of the throbs and I ran out of my migraine med.

Had been resting the whole day and nanny ally stay by my side making sure that I felt better and company me. She didn’t want me to feel lonely I guessed.

She’s the most awesome dog in the whole. Love her so much.

Ending the weekend with…

I had a fabulous weekend with loads of lazying about and many hours of catching up with my zzzz monster, shopping monster and movie monster. Ohhh and not to forget a good chill out session with my wonderful Jojo sis… love her loads!

Besides catching up with those monsters of mine that I’ve mentioned… I also managed to catch up with my cook monster!

The Mr had been having real bad bacon craving and since we had gotten a pretty big pack of streaky bacon from Carefour the weekend before, I decided to whip up a dish that can go with those sinful fellas.

In the end, I managed a homemade Rostti with sour cream! And well it’s really not much a hassle…

For the potatoes:

You can get those packet Rostti or simply be more hardworking and shred the potatoes yourself

Cooking instructions

1) Heat up the pan with 1 tablespoon of oil/ butter

2) Put in the shredded potatoes (you can boil the potatoe as a whole first before shredding them but it’ll become pretty mushy)

3) Leave it for 5-7 mins, gently press it down every once in a while

4) Flip to the other side for another 5- 7 mins, gently press it down once in a while

5) Once golden brown serve on a flat plate and top it with sour cream sauce

Bacon:

You can either pan fry them or for me I choose the easier way out which is to just heat them up in the oven toaster for 8- 10 mins depending on how fatty the streaky bacon are and how thick the slice.

Place the bacon on top of the plate of Rostti and there, you have a simple easy peasy homemade Rostti.

Besides whipping out the dish above, I also made our favourite carrot, corn, onion soup!!! Love this soup, it’s a great soup for the weekend and great to eat it when the weather’s cold or when you’re suffering from bad tummy upset! It has a lot of vitamins and most importantly it’s so flavour- ful! No salt is ever required for this soup. Therefore, you needn’t worry about sodium intake at all.

So that basically sums up my cooking adventure for the weekend.

I realised that lately I’ve been cooking a lot and that the Mr is really one of the more fortunate guys among his friends and polymate. Because many of the guys that I’ve met with lately has been complaining that their partners can’t cook and that some times they just crave for a hearty homecooked meal after work instead of eating out/ shuffling from parents place and back home or worst be greeted with a packet of instant noodles and fried omelette. lol.

Happy Birthday Sis!

On Wednesday was my lovely Joanne Sis birthday, so decided to hold her a count down birthday celebration on Tuesday evening.

Totally love the impromptu surprise that we’ve sprung her with.

To my lovely Sis… Hope you enjoyed the mini celebration and may ya stay as youthful and pretty always with good health!

Superb dinner! M.D.B

Totally satisfied my bad bad bad Korean BBQ craving!

Love my Mr loads… He brought me out this evening for a good Korean BBQ just so I had this bad craving for the past few months…

The food was superb! And the shop is so cozy! I adore the decorations! On top of that the service was really good.

We are both sooo full! Dinner with love ones and people who matters is really an awesome way to end a long long work day!

Alright I’m going to hit the shower and get down to my books. Gotta rush now because I can’t wait to catch another episode of the HK serial!
